Overprotected - Britney Spears
Why this song for Song of the Week? Well...
Overprotected is one of Britney's songs that applies to most girls and one that I loved as a kid and still do. After watching Alice Through The Looking Glass this weekend... the lyrics "I'm so fed up with people telling me to be, Someone else but me" seem to fit the message of being independent and following your dreams, no matter how 'impossible' they may seem to be.
