Why this song for Song of the Week?

 

Songs with a story behind them are always the best, especially when they're as catchy as this one. Natasha Bedingfield struggled with a case of writer's block when she was put under pressure by her record label to produce a hit song. Out of frustration she began to sing "I love you, I love you, I love you", and these words became the song's hook. The rest of the lyrics give away her reaction to her record label for putting her under pressure, but as a result, being "organic, different and real" as she described, got her to produce the second hit single of her debut album.
